1) My earliest memory is this weird lady with huge glasses who was constantly jogging by my grandmother’s house in Cape Cod, always stopping to squeeze my cheeks. It was Jackie O.
2) In grade school I befriended a girl who had a speech impediment. No one would sit with her on the bus except me. I think she thought I would be her boyfriend. I’m not sure if I broke or mended her small heart.
3) In junior high I asked a girl to the prom, and she immediately started sucking face with the cheesy class president. Crushed was not even the word. I can still feel the sting.
4) When I was a baby, I used to bang my head against the pillow to fall asleep. Weird right?

I’ve taken a helicopter ride over Victoria Falls, parasailed in the Seychelles, trekked the Himalayas, went antique shopping in Hong Kong, took a glider flight in New Zealand, wrote a book in Costa Rica.
7) I have worked in a million restaurants, but it was a means to an end - I now make my living from being a singer and a writer.
8) The best time of my life was the summer of 1987, when I went to Martha’s Vineyard and met my favorite people, who I still know today. We spent the summer hitchhiking, swimming, singing, and doing crazy things under a full moon. I’m thankful that none of us drowned.
